幸福三月

时间过得真快,不过我也过得蛮充实的。五天后就是愚人节,重点是四月份因为这意味着出粮日就近在眼里了,开心!

不说实习的话,大致上都蛮平淡却温馨的。
三月第一个礼拜天,我们一家人就老早下坡吃个早餐然后到观音亭烧香拜神。憋开信仰的话题,我比较讶异的是这珍贵的一天。这难得礼拜天到外的家庭日,我确实非常的珍惜。

接下来的星期六,我参与了拍摄活动。碰巧有友人对摄影有揣摩的意思,因此约了我当模特,直接一点就是一个object来让她拍摄。既然是免费的也是我的小兴趣,所以我答应参与了。拍摄过程很顺利,地点也那么刚好在我实习地点的附近。


下一篇帖子就会是这些作品的分享啦,因为出来的效果我很喜欢呢。

再来下一个星期六和星期日都忙碌不过精彩!
这两天是家庭日,超幸福的呢。我们也提早庆祝了外婆的生日,看着大家围在一起大吃特吃然后唱生日歌给外婆。重点是还有蛋糕吃,更加重点的是我选的蛋糕大家都爱吃,我要飞上天了啦,哈哈哈!

这个星期呢,也就是昨天。我没有什么大烦恼,不过我剪短了那所谓的三千烦恼丝。要烫卷是一直在我的意愿里不过没想到我提前把它给实行了。碰巧发廊有monthly promotion, so INI KALILAH! 起码我不会再要不要犹豫要怎么改造我那一成不变的发型等。Another tick on this resolution!

谈回实习吧,so far so good 不过那些engineering stuff真的有够把我给闹得团团转。真的打从心里佩服所有的工程师们,我的思维还真的需要多多改进。手头上要尽快搞明白的是EtherCAT
是天猫就好了,可惜不是,这与猫完全没有关系。不过我愿意尽我所能去学习,这样我又会多懂新的一项知识。那我就拭目以待自己这个文科生如何去探讨工程系的小世界。

Humble Review: Good Luck Bak Kut Teh 好运肉骨茶 @ Jalan Mahsuri, Bayan Baru, Penang

Being one of the signature food of Malaysians, Bak Kut Teh, however, isn't my great favourite one. The situation occurs even more obvious after I've tried out the superb Bak Kut Teh in Klang during the pre-graduation trip last year. (PS: Look for 亚火肉骨茶 Ah Her Bak Kut Teh. You Won't REGRET)

Since my #internmates request for Bak Kut Teh as dinner together after work, there I join them along to discover this Bak Kut Teh stall (considered in my neighbourhood yet it's my first time making patronage).

I bet Bayan Baru area residents would be quite familiar with Good Luck Bak Kut Teh (好运肉骨茶) that run its business at a shop lot along Jalan Mahsuri, just a stone throw away from Sunshine Square Bayan Baru. 


 Here's what we have for a table of seven. We were there earlier than the peak dining hour, hence, waiting time is fair.

Blanched Romaine Lettuce with Oyster Sauce 油菜(玻璃生菜)(RM 8 / Large)
 Not a big surprise from this to excite our taste bugs though.
Oh ya, one turn us down from Yao Zha Guai (油炸鬼or油条) as it is quite soggy to chew during our visit.
Bak Kut Teh (Soup) 汤肉骨茶 (RM 39 / 4 pax)
 Sorry but this favourite soup version of mine deliberately turn me down upon my visit.
The lack of  herb and spices also lead to a less garlicky-peppery flavour that it is certainly a must to have, I suppose.


Bak Kut Teh (Dry) 干肉骨茶 (RM 39 / 4pax)
Lucky me, this dry version of Bak Kut Teh manage to pass above my expectation and no doubt, it tastes nice to me. Better yet, it even tastes far better than soup version.
Dried chili and chili paddy manage to kick out the essential aroma. So, be extra careful to look out for them if you don't wish to chew it unintentionally.

二月:忙碌。适应

到了三月才来叙说二月的回忆录,因为我真的抽不到时间给办到。最大的原因莫过于疲惫的身体。我开始了实习生涯,朝九晚五的5个工作天对我而言真的很耗神。我终于亲身体会到爸妈打工回来后的疲倦。真的!一整天待在外头后,现在的我如果没什么节目(能推就推掉)我真的直接回家去,然后约10点睡觉去。不过我也知道这需要时间来适应,啊不然那些公司里头的人是怎么生存呢。

如我所愿,我在二月份回到了舞蹈班。相隔4年后的回归,所幸我的舞步都算是满灵活的,开心!用了五次班练出了Playing with fire的舞步,我期待的是影片快点上传,我想看看自己的表现如何。

我也在二月份的第三个星期日出席了戏剧开放日。我们和导师都有些互动让我们进一步了解演员的潜在性质等。无奈碍于时间表的关系,我最终没有报名参加训练。没关系吧,我依然在寻找着其它类似的机会。还有,我超感恩因为有机会出席Corporate dinner,才刚进入公司两个星期的实习生也给予那么千载难逢的机遇。Dress codes是红色或传统华人服装,我阿姨给的旗袍终于重见光明了,不再一直折收在衣柜里。再多一个幸运就是上次购买东西后我获得免费的彩妆服务,所以就是这次啦。You only live once okay!

不过还蛮开心的啦,久久一次的小改造!

趁机打广告一下,这个月份还蛮happening的。我出席了两项不同的邀约包括美食专访还有酒店推介活动。文章也出炉啦,分别是 Onedeland@ e-Gate (点击这里)还有 G Hotel Perfect Bed & Perfect Pint Challenge (点击这里)。其中有几项我无法出席,最为可惜的是寿司品尝及专访!我很久没有吃寿司了啦,要不是工作日再加上我学校规定我们不可以请假,我真的就会收到通知后立刻答应呢!

实习环境还算不赖,唯独我也许在人家面前还是一副很冷酷的样子吧,这毕竟是通常我给人的第一印象。时间久了,但愿与大家比较熟悉后那就比较好些吧,恐怕到时大家被我的活泼好动给吓坏呢,哈哈!

我也认识了不少实习朋友,感觉不错呢毕竟朋友圈扩展些啦。

我的口周也好转了,剩下疤痕淡化。拜托,我想尽快重拾多点自信。

三月第九天了,交上proposal的日子真的就在眼前。起码交上后我可以喘下几口气,下两个星期连续有活动,超期待的!好吧,大家为各自的生活加油吧,勇于尝试新事物别让自己后悔(我自己也踏出这一步了,时机成熟大家就会知道啦。妈的不要乱猜什么我开始拍拖之类的,no such thing)

G Hotel 2017: Perfect Bed & Perfect Pint Challenge

In order to unveil a fresh new look to guests, G Hotel Gurney has recently completed a great makeover worth RM 35 million. This 5-star hotel in town is no longer strange to almost everyone in Penang as shoppers may always pass through the hotel lobby on their way to and fro between Gurney Plaza and Gurney Paragon Mall.

In conjunction with the completion of makeover project, the Marcom team from G Hotel conducted a little bit extraordinary this time in order to outstand from common happenings like food review. I was very honoured to be one of the six bloggers to be invited for 'Perfect Bed and Perfect Pint Challenge'.

Personally, it was an awesome afternoon to spend and memorable one, all thanks to G Hotel for having us. It is, indeed, the time to reveal to you guys more about G Hotel, particularly, the suite room! And you know, it's somehow a cliche to understand more thorough on G Hotel through food review. G Suite, with only 2 units in G Hotel, is the highest room category for guest's ultimate luxury pampering. The event started with a meet up with all bloggers and the Marcom team under the lead of MarCom director, Christina Tan at the lobby and headed to meet the housekeeping team.

Mr Herry, one of the housekeepers did a demonstration of making the perfect bed in terms of neatness ,clealiness as well as efficiency. I was SO LUCKY to be the first challenger for both game.

Despite my messy finished work with an exhausting body, I would once again salute to all the housekeepers over the world as their job inclusive of folding bedsheet, putting up the duvet cover and duvet insert, finished up with 4 pillow cases as well. Thank you guys for the great effort to have us the comfortable staying!

Next, we moved to Tree Bar for the second which is also the last session of the event.

It is the largest al-fresco bar in Penang fits up to 198 happy hour goers!
Tree Bar is indeed a great place to hangout in an afternoon. Be it shine or rain, there is a shaded section. Else, you could always sit back and unwind as well as indulged in beer and delicious food.in an open-air concept.


The competition started straight after Mr Danson Khaw, assistant outlet manager demonstrated his skillful pumping for a perfect pint. It is all about the speed and accuracy of pumping in order to reach the perfect foam level.

Considered not bad for a first timer, ain't it?

Spot that big tree behind?
Here's the fun fact, it is not an ordinary tree that you think of but is absolutely older than you!
'Albizia Saman' is 80 over years old. The locals call it as 'five o'clock' tree ('Pukul Lima' in Malay) as its leaves fold during the rainy weather and in the evening. Be sure you watch it live and capture it whenever you have the chance!

Although I did not manage to accomplish both challenges game, it was really a cool and brand new experience to me! I'm sincerely grateful to be one of the participants and got to mingle with the bloggers as well as the MarCom team in an afternoon.
